Waskom Residents Suspected in Louisiana Burglary

Three men, thought to be Waskom residents, are suspected in a violent Louisiana burglary. The incident occurred Wednesday afternoon in Benton, Louisiana at the 1800 block of Glen Cove Dr., near the Cyprus Black Bayou in Bossier Parish.

Investigators believe this was a targeted act, where the intruders burst into the residence, subdued and restrained the owner, who was left tied up, while the suspects burglarized the residence. A witness noticed the suspicious truck at the Benton residence and reported the sighting. The witness saw the three suspects leaving the residence and fleeing in a silver/gray older, mid-2000, Chevrolet extended-cab truck with Texas license plates.

The suspects’ truck was filmed by a local store’s (Country Corner) surveillance cameras. The perpetrators pulled into the Country Corner parking lot at Linton and Parks Road, shortly after the crime was reported at 2:25 pm, Wednesday afternoon.

The three suspects are described at black males in their late teens or early 20s.  One is around 6 feet tall, thin, possibly wearing a Red Sox baseball cap and a red shirt.  The second male is short in stature, wearing a white shirt, with a nose stud piercing.  There is no known description of the third suspect at this time.

The three are still at large, armed and dangerous and should not be approached. Law Enforcement Authorities ask anyone with any information to call Bossier Crime Stoppers at 318-424-4100 or the Bossier Parish Sheriff’s Office at 318-965-2203.
