Waskom Library Summer Reading Program

Story-telling and reading books make our children grow and mature in the wonders of education and entertainment. The Waskom Public Library encourages readers of all ages to continue in their development during this summer vacation to attend, enjoy and interact with a weekly gathering of children during this summertime school break, where the need and hunger to learn continues in and out of the classroom in the Ark-La-Tex region served faithfully by the Waskom Library, staff and community.

This week, Janet Cook and Betsy Palmer of the Historical Society presented artifacts from years gone by.

No one is too young or old to take time, to make time to explore the world and be amazed as we read, learn and grow in this wonderful world we live in.

Three additional installments of the Summer Reading Program are coming up in July:

July 12—Healthy Eating with Louraiseal McDonald

July 19—Butterflies with Brenda Kinney

July 26—Dat Does the Trick with David Trombetta

For more information, call the Waskom Library at (903) 687-3041 during business hours: Monday-Friday 12:30-4:30 and Saturday 9:00-2:00.
