This Christmas Season in Waskom began with Sunday worship, music, candlelight services, fireworks and above all, sharing the message of God’s abundant, everlasting love.
Pastor Doug Lovett’s Faith Independent Baptist Church hosted the beloved Hootens, bringing Christmas cheer in their spirit-filled family tradition of song and praise to the Sunday morning service, regaling an overflow audience with a joyful mix of traditional Gospel and heartwarming Christmas songs.
Faith Independent Baptist Church was blessed to welcome Dawson Goad, who started his Christian journey at the church at the tender age of 8 and returned to take a part in the Christmas service.
First United Methodist Church of Waskom ushered in Christmas Eve with prayer and praise by Pastor Sherry Crenshaw to a congregation that embraced the arrival of the newborn Child of God and salvation he brought to mankind.
First Baptist Church candlelight Service was headlined by Music Director Barry LeBlanc and the FBC Choir with an evening of Christmas favorites and time of fellowship led by Dr. Ivy and Aimee Shelton.
The program with highlights in stage and light show production enhanced the evenings service with the FBC family providing and making contributions to the elaborate celebration that was livestreamed to reach the four corners of this earth, bringing joy to the world all the way from Waskom, Texas.
