The race is on in Marshall, Texas for the seat of District 9 in Harrison County, with former Marshall Mayor Chris Paddie making a bid for re-election. State Representative Paddie is at the helm for another term, with staunch support from across the Harrison County community – from ranchers to law enforcement.
Paddie, a product of Texas A&M, with his no-nonsense approach resonates as a lifelong conservative. In his freshman outing in Austin, Chris was appointed to serve on the House Energy Resources Committee, House Land and Resource Management Committee, where he was in the forefront in cutting bureaucracy with adverse regulations and kept Texas as the marquee job creation capital of America with more people moving to Texas than any other state in the domestic USA.
Chris is endorsed by local sheriff’s representing Cass, Marion, Harrison, Panola, Shelby, and Sabine Counties that support his re-election, along with the Marshall Policeman and Firefighter Associations. Johnathan P. Wilson, President of the Marshall Fire Fighters Association stated, “We know both candidates well, having watched them both at the City level and then Paddie at the statewide level. Paddie is the clear choice.”
From the civic and business arena’s, the Texas Farm Bureau AGFund, Texas & Southwest Cattle Raiser Association PAC, and the National Rifle Association support Chris’ re-election bid. President of the Texas Farm Bureau, Russell Boening commented, “Chris is a strong voice for farmers and ranchers.”
Chris Paddie has earned his good standing as a working member of the Texas Conservative Coalition, Vice-Chair of the Texas Energy Caucus, Vice-Chair of the Young Texans Legislative Caucus, a member of the Rural Caucus and the Texas Tourism Caucus.
Chris was honored as a “Courageous Conservative” by the Texas Conservative Coalition and as a “Lone Star Conservative Leader” by the Texas Conservative Roundtable for his on-going legislative contributions.
State Rep. Paddie was named as a “Champion of Free Enterprise” by the Texas Association of Business and one of the “Best in the House” by the Combined Law Enforcement Agencies of Texas.
Paddie in action has taken a hard stance to preserve and protect innocent lives, protecting the borders of the United States, buffering big government from Texan’s daily lives. Chris as a dedicated and devout husband and father, he married his high-school sweetheart, Brooke, and the couple have two sons, Christopher and Noah, all of whom are active members in the Immanuel Baptist Church in Marshall where they worship and serve.
