First United Methodist Church Celebrates Fifth Sunday Worship With Seed Faith Miracle

December 30th marked the last Sunday in 2018 year with Pastor Sherry Crenshaw sharing the pulpit with an inspiring testimony by Dr. Mark Neel of a miracle that defied medicine and showcased the message of Christ as our Healer and great Physician.

“Pray For Jennings” is an ongoing Facebook page that presented Jennings’ illness to the world for prayer and the body of Christ responded in kind.

Dr. Neel and his wife Dana were at home with family, their two daughters, Jennings, 14 and Reagan, 16.

Jennings asked to go to the hospital with a high fever, arriving in the ER for examination, Jennings’s body began to shut down.

A helicopter medivac carried Jennings from Marshall to the Children’s Hospital in Dallas, Texas, that began with their being full, to one miraculous bed found for Jennings at the last desperate moment.

Dr. Mark and his family were confronted with the worst diagnosis possible that all medical determinations concluded Jennings would not make it.

The Neel family lived in a waiting room area for months, as doctors delivered bad and desperate news regularly.

The Neel house stood upon the word of God faithfully reading Isaiah 41:10: “Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness” to Jennings, conscious and unconscious, daily.

Their demonstration of faith in praying, speaking and seeking divine intervention was a unified global effort across the domestic United States and internationally.

Dr. Neel would declare their mustard seed of faith in believing and declaring Jennings’s supernatural healing.

Against all aspects of the academic and medical world, the power of God brought answers to prayers and the demonstrated power of prayer and of God’s miraculous healing powers.

Pastor Sherry closed the Sunday services with the Benediction Hymn, “God be with You till We Meet Again.”

The Fifth Sunday Services provided the congregation and guests with a luncheon fellowship.
